With her powerful voice, flexible style, and welcoming demeanor, Lisa Smith is a favorite among DFW entertainers. After years of getting the Metroplex dancing in top wedding/event bands, Lisa is launching her solo career. She’s bringing the party to local restaurants, country clubs, and house events where her versatility has everyone dancing and singing along.

Lisa started singing before she could talk. She grew up in Arkansas, listening to everything and imitating it with her voice. Country western, classic rock, and golden oldies were the only sounds available on the radio, but her Delta-born father instilled in her a love for blues and gospel. Lisa’s coming of age soundtrack included alternative rock, progressive metal, hip hop, and dance pop. Her love for American music led her to study performance at the University of North Texas, where she earned a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies and met her husband, bassist Jacob Smith. Through it all, Lisa has kept her ears open to new and varied influences.
