Hi, my name is Tim Stern! My love for music started back when I was growing up in the Philippines. I remember when I got a package from my mom who was living in America at that time. The package had a VHS tape of Michael Jackson’s stage performance, singing “beat it” and doing a moonwalk. I remember dancing with my family to his song, and I would try to replicate his moves. That made a lasting impression on how music can move people to dance and have fun!

When I moved to America in 2000, I first lived in Alabama. I was introduced to all types of music from classical to classic 1950s to 2000s hits. I remember one time when my grandpa and I were dancing to Doo Wop. That was one of the most special moments I had with him. I love how music has the power to connect us all and create unforgettable moments.

I eventually made my way to San Diego in 2011. I got into the roller skating scene in SoCal, and music was a big and important part of roller skating. Skaters started having me make playlists for skating meetups since I was so well versed in music. This got me into the art of DJing and I soon purchased equipment and starting DJing roller skating events at rinks around the area. This eventually progressed into clubs, private parties, and weddings.

Music is everything to me and is essential to my life. While I’m proficient in mixing any style, some of my specialties are hip-hop, R&B, funk, disco, house, Afro, Latin, neo soul, NOLA bounce, Jersey, remixes, pop, and old school. I’d love to bring my passion for music and DJing to your event!
